Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)

In order set up and maintain standards in academics, administration and clinical teaching functions of the college, the KIMS School of Physiotherapy decided to constitute the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC).This would enable efficient monitoring of standards of the education in the institution, as per guidelines of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
Since its inception, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the college has been working on developing quality and monitoring performance indicators for the institution. The IQAC has been instrumental creating and adhering to the standards of all the 7 criteria, as per the NAAC. Through its regular meetings, the IQAC monitors, reviews and suggests to the college on the progress made by its departments on the defined action plan. The IQAC has defined the Vision and Mission of the college, in consultation with the parent institution. It has also evolved the strategic plans for the college and has aligned the core values to be incorporated into each of its activities.

Code Of Conduct

Code of conduct for Principal

  •  The Principal of the college should be fair, objective, protective and supportive.
  • Design policy and plan in accordance with the vision and mission of the college.
  • Promote good communication and interaction, and encourage research activities.
  •  Ensure that staff and students abide the rules, policies and procedures of the college.
  • Monitor, manage and educate the administration of the college and take remedial measures/
    actions based on the stakeholder’s feedback.
  • Be fair in taking disciplinary actions for all the members of the faculty, non-teaching staff
    and students.
  • Exhibit outstanding and strong leadership skills

Code of conduct for teachers

  • A teacher is a good role model for the students. He/she can inspire hope in the students by Upholding the dignity and honour of the college.

  • Abide by the rules and regulations of the college.

Code of conduct for non-teaching staff

  • Report to duty on time and be on duty during college hours; stay back after duty hours in case of additional requirement.
  • Adhere strictly to the rules and regulations of the college, and to the job responsibilities.
  • Respect and maintain hierarchy in administration.
  • Maintain honesty, integrity, fairness in all activities.
  • Exercise self-discipline and restrain at all times and deal positively with staff, students and public.
  • Must not divulge official secrets, mutilate, conceal, alter or forge official documents/receipts.
  • Must not intercept or misappropriate college money.
  • Must not be absent from duty without official approval or approved sick leave.
  • Avoid using social media during official working hours.

Code of conduct for students

  • Every student shall adhere to the prescribed dress code of the college during postings; must wear their identity cards daily.
  • Every student should pay the prescribed fees at the beginning of the term, on or before the notified date, failing which, they will lose attendance and will have to pay fees with penalty.
  • The student should not go out of the classroom during without prior permission from the teacher concerned.
  • Use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited in the class hours- students found violating this will have their mobiles confiscated.
  • The college expects students of both sexes to foster a healthy and decent relationship on and off the campus. Any behaviour found contrary to this is deemed unlawful and punishable.
  • Students are advised to use the library and digital library.
  • Latecomers are forbidden from entering the classroom as it disturbs the ongoing class, and they will be marked absent for that hour.
  • All assignments must be submitted on time; and students must come prepared for the next class/ presentations/ seminars.
  • Students should handle the college properties with care. Any damage done to the property shall be penalized and the student/s can be suspended.
  • Students should refrain from any antisocial activities/ not indulge in ragging the juniors within or outside the campus. If found/ caught indulging in such activities, legal action will be taken.
  • Students should take care of their belongings. The college does not take the responsibility of their personal belongings.
