Prof. Achyuta Samanta is an educationalist, philanthropist, humanitarian, socio-entrepreneur, policymaker and a writer. He is the founder of Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) and Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), both educational institutions of global repute and recognition. KIIT is an Institution of Eminence and one of the most prominent universities in India and the globe for professional education having more than 30,000 students from all over India and 65 other countries.

He has humbly contributed to transforming the lives of more than 60,000 indigenous children directly and millions indirectly through his dedication to eradicate suffering and promote peace by establishing KISS. Besides education, Prof. Samanta has made contributions in the field of Women Empowerment, Rural Development, Tribal Upliftment, Art, Culture, Literature, Media and Television and Spiritualism.
